TMG Ukraine is a daughter company of Telegraaf Media Group N.V. (TMG), the biggest media group in the Netherlands with over 100 years of experience, more than 5000 employees and 785 million revenue in 2006.
TMG Ukraine is divided into 3 publishing divisions, active in consumer magazines (Telegraaf Magazines Ukraine or TMU), newspapers (Telegraaf News Media or TNM) and websites (Telegraaf Interactive Media or TIM).
TMU started in 2005 with the acquisition of 5 well known magazines in the Ukrainian market; What’s On, Panorama, Domus Design, Mayster and Gourmet Guide. In 2006 and 2007 advisory title Lubimaya and celebrity magazine Glance were added to the portfolio.
In 2006 freshly launched freesheet Obzor was acquired. In April 2007 the newspaper changed from 3 to 5 times a week to become a daily reliable source of information for young, ambitious Kyivites. Every day 145.000 newspapers are distributed near exits of metro stations, at busy crossroads, squares and in more than 40 business centers in downtown Kyiv.
In May 2007 TIM started its activities with the launch of emarket.ua, a classified website where demand meets supply for goods from cars to computers to books, both second-hand and new. Interactive media will become a key factor in our strategy.
